Garden Floss is a fiber-based piece that weaves together delicate strands of pink, brown, and green into a composition that feels both organic and intentional. The work draws on the visual language of a garden—tangled growth, soft blooms, and shifting layers—while embracing the tactile intimacy of fiber.

“Floss” hints at both material and gesture: something fine, repetitive, and attentive. Each strand feels placed with care, building a sense of accumulation over time. In this way, Garden Floss becomes a meditation on growth, maintenance, and the quiet labor of tending—whether to a garden, a memory, or the self.

Marie Antoinette is a fiber-based work that draws on the opulence and theatricality associated with its namesake, rendered through a palette of various hues of pinks, creamy neutrals, and deep greens. The composition evokes a sense of decadence and fragility, where layered fibers mimic the lavish textures and embroidered finery.

Pinks bloom across the surface in varying intensities, suggesting both romance and excess, while cream tones provide a luminous backdrop that softens and elevates the composition. Deep green thread's their way through the piece like ornamental flourishes or overgrown garden details, subtly referencing the cultivated natural spaces of aristocratic life.

The work balances control with looseness—structured passages dissolve into more organic, unraveling forms. This interplay reflects the tension between refinement and vulnerability, surface and substance.

Marie Antoinette becomes a meditation on beauty, artifice, and impermanence, where elegance is both celebrated and gently undone through the language of fiber.

This fiber-based artwork explores the expressive potential of color and texture through a restrained yet evocative palette of blue, pink, brown, and purple hues. Built through layered threads, woven forms, or stitched structures, the piece emphasizes the tactile nature of fiber as both material and language. Soft gradients of blue and purple suggest depth and introspection, while pink introduces moments of warmth and vulnerability. Earthy browns ground the composition, offering a sense of stability and connection to the natural world.

The interplay of fibers—whether tightly bound or loosely arranged—creates a dynamic surface that shifts with light and perspective, inviting close inspection. Variations in density, tension, and pattern contribute to a subtle rhythm across the piece, echoing organic or emotional landscapes. By limiting the color range, the work draws attention to nuance: how slight changes in hue, texture, and form can carry meaning.

Ultimately, the piece reflects on the relationship between structure and softness, control and fluidity, using fiber as a medium to hold both physical and emotional threads together.
